The Bathtub, shower, tile Refinishing, Resurfacing and Reglazing Industry has a lot of competition in the Mesquite area. In fact Mesquite Bathtub Refinishing companies probably number about the same as Dallas Bathtub Refinishing companies.
I understand with more competition comes more choice and better prices. However, when having a surface refinished please keep in mind to properly refinish a surface it takes years of training to get near perfect results. The reason is the surface must be properly prepared before the finish coat can be applied. Also not all refinishers use the same finish coat, in fact not all refinishers use the same products to prepare the surface to be refinished. Their are a vast number of resurfacing companies that believe certain steps are a waste of time. These are not my opinion, these are facts. About 40% of the work I do is going back on some other company or refinisher that basically painted the bathtub and used the wrong product or bought the D.I.Y bathtub refinishing kit from a Home Improvement store and out of ignorance thought they were doing the job correct.
I outlined some useful information below that will help you when hiring a refinishing technician.

- Refinishing, Resurfacing and Reglazing are 3 words that mean the exact same thing. The meanings are often mixed up with the word painting. Let me explain, Refinishing, Resurfacing and Reglazing mean to bond a new surface INTO the old surface. Painting is simply applying paint ON TOP OF the old surface. My Fusion Finish process chemically welds the new surface into the old surface. Fusion Finish Polymer coating is only one part of a multistep procedure to complete your project the correct way.
- Unlike other refinishers that still use the paint brush and roller method and Epoxy paint let me tell you the Fusion Finish procedure.
- Fusion Finish uses an H.V.L.P. spray applicator that lays the coating on with 2 pounds of air pressure. No over spray and no mess.
- Fusion Finish washes the surface with a chemical wash that dissolves and removes soap residue and oil that can be overlooked during normal cleaning.
- Fusion Finish Etches the old surface so the pores are exposed and microscopic scratches are pitted into the old surface.
- Fusion Finish then uses the chemical wash again to add extra insurance that the surface is clean.
- Fusion Finish applies 2 coats of molecular bonding primer. This has a chemical reaction to the fusion finish coat so it melts into the pores and scratches in the old surface. The fusion finish coat is applied 5 - 7 coats thick so the result is a high gloss, durable new surface that is fused to the old surface! Fusion finish coating is a low V.O.C. coating and most customers tell me the odor is gone within 1 hour of completion.
